My current skewer doesn't fit into the 'axle holder' of the trainer very well, due to a more rounded QR handle.
I've googled it, and it seems to come up with this:

Is there something specific about TT skewers?, or will any skewer of a similar shape work?
Ta muchly,

the latter - as long as it's a good fit in the cups of the TT you'll be fine. The one I got with my TT snapped after abotu half an hour so I just use my standard road one.
Anything that fits the boss will work
I've only ever used the ones that came with my wheels...
Sorry, I know thats no use..
Buy a cheap A2Z one, as they are squarer..
You may want to use a different rear tyre too, save yer decent ones for the road..
( Assuming you are using a road bike in the TT....)
My TT (a Tacx) has a specific skewer to match the sockets in the support frame....
It doesn't work with a stock dura-ace.
Other than the basic shape being different it seems to function in exactly the same way.
My Cycleops Magneto came with its own skewer. The one i had in the wheels didnt sit right in the clamp.
A cheap old-fashioned Shimano one usually works well.
It's the shape that matters. The Tacx ones are nice and deep so that they fit more snugly into the axle holder.
you wanna buy one? i got a spare!
New dads and turbo trainers eh?
Can you hear the squeel monitor above the trainer noise?

Yeah i'll buy it - how much?
