Hi,
I've installed a top swing front mech on my Kinesis Maxlight XC120. Unfortunately, the cable does not seem to route nicely and is always at a rather sharp angle:

The cable guide seems to be on the wrong side of the tube.
Should I have got a conventional mech?

Thanks for the help. I need to get some kind of cable cover to stop the cable scraping the cable guide.
Been ages since i've looked closely at a bike, i've probably forgotten how a front mech routes.
