Just wondering, does anyone know of a manufacturer that gives a discount or allows you to trade an old frame of the same brand against a newer model?

Has been done occasionally, but as a rule, no.

I know Santa Cruz do (or did) a crash replacement, but I believe it had to be the same model. Turner have caught my eye before. Surprised more manufacturers don't offer it as some form of brand lockin

If your lifetime-garuanteed titanium frame breaks, Litespeed would seem to offer you a discoubted new frame in lieu of actually fixing it ๐Ÿ˜‰
