Mate of mine has been knocked off his bike today, winding country lane and low sun meant that the driver "didnt see him till i hit him"

Got off quite lightly really, A&E confirmed he has not broken his ankle just sprained it rather badly, few other cuts scrapes and grazes, fortunately he was wearing his fox flux.....

anyway his bike is not so pretty anymore

oooh that looks alright

CRC have a black 18" in stock too

he might need a different chain device as the current one is ISCG
i will take a look at some of the dimensions tomorrow to see if anything wont swap straight over

dont know yet if the old bombers have survived yet...

I take it the driver is paying for it?

Were the police involved?

yeah police and ambulance were called out

I assume as he was hit from behind that the fault lies with the driver, they might want to go through their insurance when they find out how expensive bikes are... I guess the bike will need assessing by a bikeshop

driver was a 30something female and she was really badly shaken by the experience, i could see in her eyes she was replaying the accident but with a much more devastating outcome

sunny days = bright flashy rear light on my bike

especially if you're passing under trees into the sun, whole stretches of road can go "blank" in some cars

(glad your mate's OK)
