Off to North Wales, do I take my road bike or a MB?
I'll be going to Abersoch so there's no off road action to be had unless I want to drive to CyB or ByC, whereas there's miles and miles of road to be ridden in them parts.
Plus I will be riding on my own as Mrs Eye is in the family way ๐ and 'other' parties would rather 'surf' and have jobs etc.
Help a guy decide, I love my MB but will only get out once or twice but on the road I can ride every day*
*weather permitting
I drove to CyB when we had a week in abersoch.
If I was going again I'd take the road bike.
road bike IMHO
fair way from decent trails but nice empty roads
What kind of bike rack only takes one bike?
Take your mountain bike. If you fancy a ride on the road you can always take the car...

Can't be arsed taking 2 bikes/helmets/tubes/shoes/bags/bottles etc. I just want to get on a bike and ride.
Plus it's going in the car and we've got other 'stuff' to cart up.
You can ride an MTB on the roads but you can't take a road bike on the trails...
Very few bridleways on the Lleyn, so unless you're loading up the car and disappearing for more or less a whole day, take the road bike. Been there done that.
That's that settled.
I'm taking the road bike.
If I get the 'itch' I can always ride/drive to Brenin and rent an MB, but there's a lot of road that needs me to explore it.
Looking forward to climbing some real hills.
You need a CX bike mate job-jobbed. ๐
