I'm sure I saw that they were launching a deore 10spd group back in the spring that included a clutch mech to cope with wide range rear cassettes up to 42t?

Can't see it anywhere now.......

At that price you'd be better off using the XT M8000 mech.

When was the last time Wiggle or CRC sold a Shimano part at RRP? Of course it'll be substantially cheaper than XT, or no-one will buy it.

I'd buy one instantly to go with my sunrace 11-42 if it's under £50.

exactly my thoughts (my rad cage modified zee wont last forever)

Mike the difference with sram is that the lower end stuff is very poor whereas deore is far more reliable

Aren't the 11speed mechanical compatible with 10speed shifters anyway? £52 for SLX mech on CRC.

due to a slight error, the box said 10spd cassette and discovered too late contained an 11spd!!!!

I was running a 10spd xt mech and 10spd slx shifter.

Shifting was questionable.

Upgraded to an 11spd xt mech shifting was fine, except i could only use 10 sprockets.

You can allow for that with limit screws though obviously?

RadR cage is nearly as much as a new mech anyway, and goatlink isn't as good.

So, long or medium cage? https://www.bike24.com/1.php?content=13&search=m6000+derailleur

The 11spd SLX medium cage covers up to 46T 1x10/11.
