Could do with some Di2 knowledge.

Something is not working on my bike it was ok on Friday then when I lined up for the hill climb this morning I realized I was on a singlespeed with a 52:18. Think I won.

E tube tells me that everything is there except the internal battery. Both junction boxes look ok. I plugged the battery into the rear mech cable and still no joy.

I think the battery is borked. There was a flicker of life when I reconnected everything but then it died again when the seatpost went back in. Batteries are expensive so before I buy one is there a way to check. Don't have a friend nearby with a spare and I need a working bike for races next weekend! If I get desparate I can go to the LBS and hope.

Have you charged it up?

It was charged, I checked. Now when i plug charger in I get nothing. No lights anywhere. I've left it on charge to see if it comes back to life.

I've had something like this - e-tube software showed everything normal in my case as I remember but clearly wasn't; like you, no lights on attching charger or would light up and then go off a minute or two later. Did seem to charge up (a bit) if left but not reliably

Had nobody to borrow a battery from and so took a punt on a new one. That works fine so I assume it was the old battery that had a problem

Try to borrow a battery is my advice

Thanks, I'm convinced it is that. LBS has agreed to let me try one of a demo bike so will go visit in the week as I need a replacement asap anyway so will take the rrp hit if needed.

Love Di2 but don't like that I cant just see what the problem is!

Try plugging the battery directly into the Shimano E-TUBE software and we what happens.

If it fails to recognise it then try it a good dozen times or more before condemning the battery
