starting ashburton 9.30, should be good, it was the last time I did it. anyone else? looking a bit blustery....
yeah, don't mind riding in rain, but I'm a bit of a Princess when it comes to wind, won't make them climbs any easier.... ho hum...
I'm in.
Any idea how long the ride is this year, there seems to be a large margin in the advertising on the possible mileage. What sort of time do you think it will take to complete.
The mileage will be between 30 to 35 miles
still finalizing the route as the forestry
work around the reservoirs has blocked the
bridleway.
Start and finish legs will be the same as last
year, the bit in the middle should have a bit
moor gnar 😀
The moor gnar bit to include rock garden
beneath hound tor, jays grave, climb of
hameldown, grimspound, two moors way, descent
to west coombe,manaton, lustliegh cleave,
heavens gate, hisley bridge, classics to us
locals, if you havn't ridden them before get
yourself down to debon me beauties 😀
that sounds cracking, although hameldown with 50mph gusts and a 'feels like' temp of 1 deg might take the shine off a little bit!

Well that was fun! great route, insane winds on top of hameldown. Amusing seeing lots of people pushing bikes uphill and then downhill! looked a bit like lots of blokes out walking their bikes....(including me..)
