Running 1 x 10 with a top and bottom guide, do i:
run chain through chain device (top and bottom) round big cog at back plus 2 links? (long cage mech)

assume so as it is what you do biggest to biggest + 2
I use a large with a 2x set up without issue

Full suss or ht? Best way is just to suck it and see- single ring setups are simple. If it's a full suss, remove the air or spring from the shock, squash it, and see what happens- some designs are growthier than others.
