worth forking out an extra £20 for SLX?

no idea about the weights compared to the Deore but the SLX is excellent and looks alot better than the Deore.

SLX has steel pedal inserts - which are a joy to use. They are claimed to be stronger too.

Deore may not have those.

mmmm.... yeah. i've got the SLX double already and not had any probs.

it'd be for the GF's bike. she wants something to protect her trousers when riding to the shops and the old BB is starting to creak like crazy.
