Are these compatible if both are Hollowtech II? Need a new BB for my singlespeed and don't want to spend a fortune.

yup fine and while your saving money, get a new set of bearings to pop in your XT then you have a sspare, bearings are about a fiver for std bearings from Ebay or more for BETD or the like.
