what's out there to look for secondhand?

thinking of replacing the Suntour cheapos on daughter's bike to save some weight - think they are about 2.5 kgs

guess old SID's may fit the bill but don't know what they go for? Any suggestions? Not looking to pay a lot - < £100

thanks

Check the ebay for some z2's. I strongly regret selling mine.

good for you David, I'm very pleased for you

If you don't mind I'll deal with the OP, If he's interested we'll have a chat about the price

He said 80mmISH He might be able to use these, they might be to long, its worth offering though.

Now if you wouldn't mind keeping you nose out...

I dunno, the guy asked for some advice on what to look for in terms of forks and price, and its a public forum so I thought I'd give him some advice cos I like being helpful, and I just thought I'd let him know that £100 for some less than ideal forks that cost somewhere around £150 brand new 7 years ago was probably a rip off.

I can vouch for the Blacks, the front of the bike will be nice and low and they work well, I have a set on my singlespeeded (sp.?) Marin.
