Forgot to empty my Camelbak for about a week, with inevitable black-algae-gunk results. Gave it a good wash out with soapy water, but I now can't get rid of the bloody soapy taste. I must've rinsed the thing out 10 times but I can still taste soap. Any tips?

Bicarbonate of soda works for me

try milton tabs and then run hot water through it with the valve off for a while.

In the future freeze it between uses, saves a lot of aggro I only use water but haven't needed to wash mine in months.

milton for 10-15mins, or coke left in there for an hour or two should do the trick, and like the above, rinse with milton, then freeze (empty) between rides does the trick.

Thanks all - I'll pick up some Milton on the way home tonight. That soap made this morning's pre-work training ride a bit more of a challenge. A hard 60-minute workout with no usable water was no fun at all.
