Hello all,
The free hub is knackered on my usual winter wheelset for the gravel bike (DTSwiss G540s) so wondering if anyone has seen a good deal on wideish wheelsets?? Looking for 25mm plus internal width, 700C.
Hunt currently have:
- Gravel Race - £479 - about 1400g, 24mm internal
- 4 Season Gravel - £329 - 1689g, 25mm internal
Probably leaning more towards the 4 Season end given I already have a lightish summer wheelset.
Cheers!
If you can live with 24mm internal, these are great wheels - I had them on my Trig when I sold it and they worked well with my 45mm tyres.

Check carefully with Hunt, a lot of their wheels are hookless.
I was vaguely flicking through their Black Friday sale yesterday then noticed that the wheels I was looking at were all hookless.
All the gravelly wheels I have are DT Swiss, really good throughout if you can find any of those on sale?
Some Hunt wheels also have pretty low weight limits, which could be an issue you're planning on bike packing etc.
I've recently had some winter wheels from Zen Carbon in China which would work well as gravel wheels. The below image is the spec I ordered but they can be lighter with a lower weight limit. Total cost delivered including fees etc was £452 but it took about 5 weeks.
