Anyone wondering - ordered a light on the 15th, delivered on the 24th (although I wasn't in when they turned up so trip to the post office yesterday...) 9 days - not bad.
I got the old head unit with the new battery. Looks good, although the new battery is a fair bit bigger and heavier than the old one - it does appear to be properly sealed tho. Head unit looks like my other one - well put together with no swarf to be seen.
my order for the new light placed last thursday is still waiting on supplier 🙁
I'd change the order to the older type with the new battery if I were you. They're the same power / run time, and personally I think the new one looks a bit 'knocked up in a garage'.
Have you got a link to the old light with new battery? Can't find it on the deal extreme site.
odered mine on the 19th,paid for ems delivery, says its left its country of origin on sunday night, no more points of tracking since. 24hr delivery when it gets/got here. When should i expect it?
yeah, I almost went with that one - but was intrigued by what might be inside the new one - poss new driver... I'm going to pull it apart when it gets here and post up some pics.
It almost looks like there is more space inside the body which is good for potential future upgrade jobs I might do to it...
