How far would you travel, and return, in a day to go mountain biking? I have done Cwm Carn in a day, and also Afan, but I am looking for something new that preferably features technical dh sections, north shore, jumps, drops etc. I'm not adverse to climbing as well.
I live in SE England (not far from Gatwick) and the local options are somewhat limited. I am Billy no-mates as far as riding goes, and also a bit skint, so would prefer a day trip.
So what day trips have you done?
I'm coming from Birmingham to UK Bike Park next Friday. Combining it with a trip to see a mate who has moved down there so its not too bad. Plus I quite like driving long distances.
What is UK Bike park like these days?
I'll let you know a week on Monday. never been before.
