Hello there,

First time on this forum and just looking for some advice really. Bought a beautiful bike a couple of years ago but am now starting a new job and need to sell this one to get one that I wouldn't fear getting snatched or bumped on the way to work!

Here are the specs:-

Easton Ultra-lite frame and seatpost.
Dave Hinde Lifetime guarantee Mavic MA3 wheels
Camapagnola Mirage 9 spd shifters (also have Athena BB's but haven't swapped them yet)
Camapagnola Mirage Hubs
Veloce Crank
Mirage brakes
Veloce rear derailleur
Mirage front derailleur
ITM Bio-one headset
Super Italia Pro - 260 Handlebars
Bioflex shock-lite saddle

Has a few paint chips and could use some more grip tape but other than that a fine bike that has chewed miles of tarmac over the years but still in immaculate condition. Bought new for £850, any ideas or offers for it now?

Many thanks,

Ollie

I'd say £300 tops as well. Like to see someone claim on the lifetime guarantee wheels though LOL. But to be fair going back a few years he did build a good wheel.

Thanks for that guys (possibly lasses) was hoping for around the 400 mark but 300 does seem more realistic.

@taxi25 - i know i thought lifetime was a bit of an ambitious claim, especially with gene therapy coming on leaps and bounds, could be a couple of hundred years!

Don't suppose any of you know of anywhere/one who would be interested?

Cheers,

Ollie

I was thinking more about Dave Hinds famous customer service barbarian.
If you've got a few minutes ( days ) give him a google.

Ha! Yes, I've seen the less than favourable comments about him with thinly veiled contempt all over the internet. Thankfully my purchase was from his eBay account and I never had the opportunity to require proper customer service!

If the plan was to sell that one to fund a new bike then as others have said keep it. For the money you'll get selling it won't buy you much bike, could always try taping the frame up or even convert it to single speed for work if your journey/fitness allows, and sell the groupset.

Hi,
if the frame is a large then my eldest might be interested in it for £300.
Is it pretty good nick (not so much the paint chips, but the chain, cassette, tyres, tubes, brakes, rims etc)?

Drop me a line - ta

@large418,

I am 6ft 1" and if fits me fine, but I wouldn't suggest it for anyone shorter. It is fine nick, apart from the scratches - rust free and gears shifting nicely etc. If you would like a photo please send me your email and I'll send one across.

Cheers
