at the risk of showing my ignorance... i've just fitted some carbon drop bars to the roadie build i'm working on, and am a bit surprised at how much they flex.
is this normal for carbon roadie bars?

depends on where the bars are aimed ... are they sprinters bars or are they comfort bars ....
comfort bars for long distance will flex more than sprinters bars.
