Any locals about (saw a very detailed reply on an old thread from Ambrose) who can advise how trails are running over that way at the moment? Partic the climb over from Llandeusant descending to Dan yr Ogof.

The track from the caves to the Afon Twrch will be ok as it has a good hard base, the Twrch might be hard to cross - the rest will be a boggy wilderness of doom as present, wait for a cold snap of a long period dry weather.

Ah, ok. That's where I was thinking of going. Up from Gellygron and over the caves via Twrch. Might try and track a ranger down and see the ford is passable. Cheers for your help.
