As above FS if it's mainly frozen mud, as the ruts and lumps of previously soft mud is are now like a riding through a rock garden.

I've been riding the rigid, suspension's not all that useful in snow and can be counterproductive even. When it ices up I'll break out the hemlock just for hte enormous safety net it provides for gigantic ****-ups

Stay in and drink beer in preperation for the thaw?
Think of it as carb loading?

Whatevers got the widest tyres. And maybe let some air out of them as there wont be any hard edges?

Just got back from a lovely snowy night ride over Cannock Chase. Most of us on hardtails (3 Cotic Souls, a Dialled Alpine and an Evil Sovereign plus that Ti bike Mike rides) and 1 guy on a Giant FS. We all enjoyed it immensely.

Those of us with 2.35 Bonty XR4 running tubeless had most fun. I was singlespeed and found it a bit draggy uphill though.

Thanks fellas.Just had a chat with one of the lads going this mornong who went out t'other night. Not so much snow more frozen mud and ruts so FB it is (i think) or maybe toss that coin (cheers cynic_al) as i'm loving that soda more than halle berry on the couch in monster ball.

Ive been loving rigid with narrow tyres for getting to the grip underneath
Rim brakes total rubbish though so I have had to aim for a soft landing and bin into deep powder it a few times - all good fun so far
