OK, we have tickets for the Parlympic velodrome, starting this Wednesday at 9.30am

2 Questions

1) I need to get from Farnborough, Hants to Waterloo with my bike (Commuter MTB with panniers) and the train time I'm looking at has a 'cycle policy'. Looking at this it says Cycles are not carried during periods of restriction as listed below but doesn't list any such periods. For a 6.15 train, arriving at 7.05, do you think I'll have any problems?

2) Can I park my bike anywhere near the Velodrome?

Boris Bikes (as much as i love them!) aren't really an option as I'll be in London for a week, and it'll be easier with my own bike, plus I have luggage I need to take

You'll be fine on that train, they're not allowed on trains arriving into Waterloo after 7:15. I'd be inclined to take a print out to ward off any jobsworths!

Olympics had a bike park in the corner of Vicky park ( not used it myself) there was a
Ban on bikes on the trains for the Olympics. Bike info is on the Olympics website.

wouldn't bother trying to take your bike on any form
of public transport during the games, has you wont
get far.
