2. Is it a daft idea (read some stuff saying very muddy /sections of water.

I've cycled the causeway a few times but never Pilgrims Way. I've read it's best barefoot otherwise you might loose a boot, so I won't be attempting it on a bike!
I love watching the causeway as the tide comes in, you think surely no one else will attempt crossing after the last car nearly washed away, then a minibus full of foreigners gives it a go.
