You really need to book unless you're prepared to ride or push up. You might get a one-er ticket at a quieter time, like lunch, but in general it's ridiculously busy.

Slight highjack.

How busy are Fridays? Looking to go on the 15th but am unlikely to get the benefit of an all day ticket.

Check on their website as they have an interactive calendar that shows you bookings and availability in advance. Generally Fridays are pretty busy.
