Hey Chaps,
My internal routing hose on my new frame is about 50mm too long, so it bottoms out on the dropper.
I want to trim it down, others have done so - or actually removed it entirely to solve the same problem. The methods are a bit drastic for me though!
Does anyone know or a long cutting tool, that could be used to trim a plastic tube down a seattube?
Here's some photos of what, and where...

Only suggestion I've got is to try hooked blades for a Stanley knife, attached to some wooden dowel or whatever you have long enough to reach.
Can you not feed it through from the front such that you still have a bit sticking out at that end but enough out the seat tube to trim it ?
Hi Rickon,
That tube is made of a hard sort of fibreglass material so it's not going to be easy to cut with a blade. I have an XL Following MB frame with 170mm reverb fully inserted but had to replace the connectamajig with a barb to allow full insertion. That is the easiest and safest option if it works on your frame. The last time I removed the seatpost that long bit of guide tubing had broken by itself and came out with the seat post cable so I was able to have a good look at it. If you want to try and shorten it within the frame I think it would be possible to use an extra long wood auger (eg 600mm x 8mm) to split it as you should be able to insert the end of it into the hollow end of the hose - but you would obviously have to be really careful when doing this! Contact Evil as I think that is the method they have suggested in the past.
