Hya guys, can anyone help me out, i bought a cube "the one" in January of this year(2010 model)i had initial teething problems, but there is one problem that will not go away, and that is the chain keeps jumping off the front chainrings and jamming/wedging itself between the inner chainring and the bottom main aluminium pivot bolt, on one occasion, it succeeded in snapping of a tooth from the 22T XT ring, i also had to replace the chain as it was kinked. in the early weeks, due to this excessive chain slap, i fitted a rubber protector on the seat stay as well as the one already on the chain stay hoping it may calm the slap down but alas no!!!! i took it back to my local bike shop with this issue and they agreed that the rear mech jockey wheel spring may have been faulty, (it came with a sram X9), they failed to get a replacment X9 but for a small fee i agreed to upgrade to a X0, had bike back, first ride out and off the chain came again, it was on the middle front chainring when this occured!,whenever i ride, i carry hollowtech tool with me,as when the chain comes off, there is not enough clearence between the inner chain ring and bottom pivot bolt for the chain to fall onto the BB.....every time the chain comes off it cuts that little bit more into the chain stay arm, can eny one advise me on this issue, or has any one had same issues, etc, i would really appreciate feedback, this is my first post so apologies if is incorrectly placed........
I have a Cube sting and have had no issues at all, even rattling down the rockiest peaks descents. maybe check front mech set up?
What BB do you have on the bike? If it is an external type, how many spacers are between the BB and the frame?
Without seeing it, it seems like a chain alignment issue.
Chain too long ? or could be chain suck

thanks guys, i checked the chain length when it started to happen regular, it is correct(being sram`s big +big+2 links method) the BB is Hollowtech 2, with 1 spacer on the drive side, which i believe is correct, when i took it back to the shop 4 weeks ago, i explained to them about the lack of gap between inner ring and BB pivot, and the guy told me that it was a design feature of the cube, to stop the chain dropping on to the BB!well it doesnt work!!!!!!!!!when it kept coming off i was normally on the middle front ring and midway down the rear cassette, i then started riding it on large front ring, chain allingment was perfect, but it also came off the big chain ring from the underside and jammed down the lenght of the crank arm, i normally ride in cwmcarn south wales, which if enyone can relate to it would reallise that its not that technical a xc course, fast in places, but would expect a bike of this calibre to cope easily with the terrain. only once the chain came off big chain ring though..the front mech is set up correct, thanks guys....
thanks trailflow for the link about chain suck, all teeth are good, the chain is meticulously cleaned after every ride and relubed with finnish line dry lube
My Stereo runs very smooth gears so something's def not right, as well as the above suggestions, maybe have the front mech set up looked at. If you want to check spacers on an external BB, I've got one spacer on the drive side and none on the none drive side.
edit: sorry, you've since posted, don't know what else to suggest
Its not your freehub causing the issue is it? If you have such rifle wjewla then it might be as there is a common fault with them
