I have used these and some older rigid ones
These are very fiddly to set up absolutely perfectly and get knocked everytime i store my bike - hung up by front wheel- you should/probably will be ok if you keep it on two wheels with nothing touching it
Even worse if you have to take a wheel off or move bike in the car
They can easily shift and start rubbing and often require fettling to stop this- ost rides blooming annoying tbh
Not easily removed so there for the long haul
Zip ties with it were poor
The front bit using the little plastic nut and washer breaks off easily- you can attach different length mudguard fronts
I will keep them till they break but i will not be buying another set and occasionally pray for them to break
If you have eyelets then a set using the eye;lets is more robust and a far better option
the MK2 is quite different i think
Get some narrow SKS chromoplastics, More expensive (£30), but much more robust. Fit and forget until spring.
If eyelets then SKS if not then Crud in my experience.
They're awful.
I liked them at first, putting the first half dozen or so incidents down to user error.
However, they break far, far too easily, they fall to bits, warp and generally collapse if you so much as look at them.
Just about acceptable when the frequently required spares were free - now they charge a fortune for them.
A great idea, shame they don't really work.
Mine don't rub if set up perfectly. However, subject them to some use, like actually riding a bike and they rub continuously.
Road debris? Forget it.
