Was thinking about getting some splatter protection fitted to the 26er hardtail. Have limited options (no fixing points, a wishbone/mono seat-stay) so was looking at these:

Which generally seem to get good reviews albeit complaints about the rear guard not giving enough coverage.
What's the chances of a 27.5 or even 29er set giving more coverage with no downsides?
