Have a look on ebay, a brand new Scott CX frame and forks sold for less that £200 recently.

Also Kinesis and Dolans on there at moment for £160ish.

narrow your search by geometry, my 49cm KONA Jake The Snake fits like a glove due to having a 53cm top tube, most seem to be the same seat tube / top tube lengths

Ridley... Competitive cyclist were selling some off cheap.

Is it for racing?? although season is nearly over so if you aren't planning to race then wait a month and alot will be getting sold off when racing finishes

Be aware then the Milnes' Columbus frames are race designed (IIRC) - i.e. no bottle bosses.

Consider the Ragley Rodwell if they have your size in the CRC sale.

I'd be looking at a Kinesis 5T with carbon fork - £315 on ebay. Nice & light with with plenty of bosses & mounts for bottles & mudguards/racks. Think there's also a few Kona JTS's around this prices for frameset too.

Crbon fork will take a fair bit of the vibration out of the trail/road vs an ali one.

Not really sure about the Dolan being a tank - mine's not light but not particularly heavy either and it rides perfectly.

If you need a large size these 08 Giant TCX framesets are a good price at the moment. Not the same as the current frames but still light at around 1450grams for the frame.

mav. I used to have a 57cm one which weighed 1430 grams, so just guessing the next size would be about 20 or 30 grams more.
