anyone using them?
Looking at this build for a white kinesis crosslight Pro 6.
Crest 29ers white, red nipples, Hope pro 2 hubs (red).
Any idea what pressures i can run in these rims as i want to be able to use thinner road tyres in the summer, I think its 60psi?
I have some 42mm Schwalbe tyres running at 70psi with tubes on those.
You can't go that high with tubeless, though.

I've run tubeless at 70psi with no problems - Halo rims, stans rim tapes, sealant
Mind you I also blew my tyre off my rim this weekend with one at 70psi... I guess that high pressure just reduces the margins. 60psi seems to be fine - that extra 10 psi seems to cut into the safety margin.
I wouldn't use road tyres on them at high pressure - I have a second set of wheels for my cx for that (which I'm looking to sell as I'm going to get some stans wheels for a more reliable tubeless setup on my CX)
what pressures should road tyres be run at at what pressure for CX tyres?
100 - 120 usually for road (assuming 23-25mm tyres)
CX will be massively dependent on what/how you ride and how heavy you are. I found I needed 85psi with tubes to avoid pinch flats but then I'm heavy and ride rocky trails on my CX.

What's your concept of thinner?
I think there are better choices.
Two sets of wheels is the solution that almost everyone I know who uses their CX for CXing and road riding has eventually gone for...
There's lots of folk using Open Pros which will take a 23mm road tyre and a 35mm CX tyre without any problem.
Not so good for tubeless but yes, otherwise they're a decent choice.
Why not Stans Alpha's? Wouldn't use them with canti's (or at least not in mud) though, the rim wear indicator is quite shallow so I guess thats where some of the weight went.
I forgot to say, for disc brake use if that makes any difference?
So it looks like alpha 340s are the better hoice then or open pros?

+ Lighter and marginaly more aero.
- Not as stiff (maybe less of an issue if using disks as you'll be using more than the bare minimum of spokes) and double the price (~£80 vs ~£40)
Are you actually going to use them tubeless?
Mavic A317 used to be a great choice for a tubed disc only cx/touring/commute rim but I think they have discontinued them which seems weird given the growth in this sort of bike.
Haven't built them yet, waiting on the spokes.
