So just had a call from my cc company, someone one tried to spend 60p on my cc last night. They said it was a verification payment, to test if the card worked, and thats why it looked suss, because it was only 60p.
I don't get it. This knowledge has been around for a while now, surely your fraudster will just use any fresh details to make a decent sized haul and not do the 60p thing to attract attention to themselves?
Somebody please explain..
