I need to buy a prezzy for my brother-in-law who is working in New Zealand at the moment.

Wish to purchase local in NZ to save on postage. Any recommendations?

The people I know in NZ tend to buy stuff from CRC as it's cheaper...

Unless its a complete bike then parts etc are cheaper from the UK to Australia, most sites do free or subsidised delivery and remember VAT free.

Depends on how much you want to spend but yeah buying from the UK is usually cheaper... bear in mind there is no VAT on supply to a NZ address and ifs less than $220NZD value no GST (VAT equivalent) to pay at this end. IF you end up paying GST, then you also have to clear customs which is about $50NZD in fee's...

www.bicycle.co.nz is probably the best lowish cost local option and generally has a pretty good range...

My friend in NZ has used both CRC and Merlin without any problem.

Cheers guys. Budget is around £40 - 50 so CRC sounds ideal, thanks.

www.torpedo7.co.nz if its on sale or www.bicycle.co.nz if I need it quickly or CRC if no rush, generally takes 10 days.

I've used CRC a handful of times, they post for free on orders over $200 (~£100).

Wiggle direct me to their Aussie site, firends have said they also post free (wiggle.co.uk or .au?) over £150 or something similar.

For from NZ I've used Torpedo7 as well, they charge approx £5 for postage most of the time.
