The issue is that the website makes it hard work to compare and look for like products or stuff by the same brand.
In the old days on CRC if you were on a page for a product - eg here endura single track shorts -. Then you could easily click on other products in the same category. I cant remember the link structure but it went something like:
Other Endura products
Other mens shorts
Other clothing
etc etc
Or at worst you could navigate by the URl which was heirarchical. Now I cannot find how to easily navigate from one product into its categories by brand/type etc.
Am I missing something, or is the "new" (like 2 years ago or something) website just shit.
Hmm. yes, not a great looking website, but the navigation isn't too bad.
Those links you used to like on product pages are great for SEO and keeping people engaged, but you can find all that stuff via the menu at the top of the page so all the info is still there, just accessed in a different way. Arguably less convenient, but I bet if you hadn't seen the old site you'd be quite happy finding stuff on the current one.
Shame a huge firm like CRC can't put more effort into their user experience, but then that's not really what they are all about, is it?
Its not about the user experience, its actually them making it harder for me to spend my money.
Yeah, I would have thought with their pending world domination, they would have a better website to serve 99% of their sales.
