This, for me, is not acceptable. What they are asking is that I lose out on my money in the short term to post a relatively heavy item, wasting both time and effort in the process, for what is essentially CRC's cock-up.
I seem to remember DSR's making it so they have to arrange for a courier to collect, is this correct?

Unfortunately I've settled on those gloves. I'd rather have a refund instead of another item.
Thanks anyway,

Subject: Incorrect item deliveredDear Sir/Madam,
I have received an order that should have been wending its to one miss
the details of that order are:CRC Ref:
Web Ref:
Customer ID:I SHOULD have received this order:
Mr R Leach
OrderID: ***I understand that errors happen within a large company like yours.
I expect that I will not be put out of pocket to correct this yes?Regards,
Bob Leach.
Is this about a pair of gloves?
Post description fail...
Yeah, I ordered a pair of gloves and got 18 quids worth of gels instead. What happened after is in the email log above. Not best pleased TBH!
Eat the gels, stick wrappers on fingers!
Seems pretty reasonable to me, they made a mistake, you pay to send them back and they'll refund the lot, not unreasonable IMO?
You would rather wait in for a courier to collect than to stick the box back in the post at your convenience - all to save being out of pocket for a few days? This is the downside of internet shopping though, even if it was their mistake.
you will get a refund and if you're still not happy ask for a credit to your account to cover time out etc [post office visits etc].
Hey I bet you never make any mistakes do you ๐
You won't be out of pocket in any event.
Blimey I thought I had problems...
UGH I'd rather not eat something the consistency of snot! Bloody vile!
I would expect the MD of CRC to come and pick them up personally by helicopter.
Meh, with the hours I work it's relatively difficult to get to the post office without time off, I'd much rather not have to do that.
Shame nobody has actually answered my question though, should've thought on...
Im not sure I see the problem.
Wrong goods received, CRC offer to refund the return postage.
Whats to get annoyed about?

Courier, to pick up a bunch of gels? WTF? Dream world!
if i recall correctly, but cant be bothered to search to verify (in true STW forum style), one isnt legally obliged to return goods which one didnt asked to be sent to you
I thought that was unsolicited goods i.e. Readers Digest.
I can't see that you'd be legally obliged at common law at least, but you'd be obliged to release them.
