Typical,

nice weather all week, Made the trip up to Kirroughtree for a ride round the best made singletrack bar none.

It started to rain 10 miles before the trail centre and stopped 1/4 hour before we finished, Bloody weather.

Sorry about the quality, but i'm as good at taking photos as I am at riding.

🙂

I'm going to have to go back arn't I and see if I can do that first chute. Had some serious fear when I rode it and bottled it. Hopefully future rides will be a bit sunnier for you.

Nice pics fella didnae even see ya whip out that bad boy. Good to see ya got back in one piece and dried out ok.. I managed to get back a bit earlier than I thought but it was still a good trek!!.

Maybe one day we'll have some of the famed Rivi STW Massive ride weather with us eh!!!.

One question tho, have ya not twisted the camera for that last pic... surely it was vertical!!! ;o)

Lowey it was good, but it absolutely honked it down.

I'll give you a shout next time we are off there.

it really is the best man made Singletrack of all the Stanes.

Pity it's so far away.

Vortex

I feel I am edging closer to being able to have the whole of June off, free to ride. I'll be based out of Dumfries so nearer the time I may well see about getting a few group rides going around the Stanes area.

Yeah - I am hoping to meet Trekster and look at maybe doing a Stane or two one day, and then maybe look at doing a natural ride on a second day. Maybe I can get help from one or two other Borders riders to help guide too. I like the idea of a West Coast meet though and will get that sorted, assuming I am allowed to leave work end of May. I'll post a thread maybe end of April to see who is interested and just to let people know it may happen.

Heh - someone posted a photo recently from the top looking down from McMoab and it's a totally different kettle of fish to your photo! I can't ever see myself managing that one.

The problem with that John is that we will have to 'drive to ride'. You never know you might like it.

That chute was bloody steep. Not sure why the perspective has altered on the photo.

'Trail God Johnny' It certainly has a ring to it

Simon... this is mine...

I rode everything ok with the exception of the chute. I was solo and had a long drive home was my excuse. Mind you, this was back when I was ok on the tech stuff... bloody rubbish now. No mojo at all.

Dave.. deffo give me shout when your next out on a trip mate.

Lowey

Thank you! It's like looking at two totally different chutes! Your photo has "in traction for 12 weeks" written all over it.

I love Kirroughtree I try and ride it once a month it's 90 mile away but always worth it I always ride it solo so usually give the chute a miss though have rode it when I have my brave head on.

Lowey is spot on took us 2 and 3/4 hours with no stop.

It's the same distance as Inners and GT for us lot.
