I've picked up a couple of chips on the rear triangle of my Blur LTc.
The frame is white so the chips show up as black. I'm pretty sure that the chips are only in the lacquer and do not extend into the carbon.
Do I need to cover/repair them if so what with?
nail varnish?
I'd sand the area down and give a few coats of laquer back over it
1) White nail polish (correct shade)
2) Allow to dry and polish back - gently - with very nearly dried 'hazy' T-cut
3) Finish with nail varnish topcoate (Rimmel is best)
4) Polish back topcoate very gently with T-cut as above
Done. Stronger. Pimpier and cooler than before! ๐
FWIW, my SC Blur has a couple of lacquer chips that have been there for a couple of years and I've not bothered doing anything with them. I guess it helps that it's naked carbon though.
cheers for the replies, do you think boots would be OK with me taking the rear triangle in to a store to compare nail polish shades?
...Probably ๐
I spend a lot of my time loitering around Superdrug's nail varnish isle, picking up bottles and comparing shades. Not that anyone ever thinks I'm a bit weird. It's okay they are for my - non-existent - girlfriend, honest...
