The soft screw head has finally chewed up too much so I was going to swap the pad retaining pin for a generic, hence uber cheap, stainless-steel cotter pin instead.
The original Shimano pin is 3mm in diameter but most cotter-pins are imperial and thus 3.2mm. The shimano pin is a relatively loosish fit.
So before I order a handfull of cotter pins has anyone else gone down this route and are replacement 3.2mm pins ok or are they too tight?
