Passing curious question - I believe that the Road Rat has clearance for 32mm tyres, but is that with or without mudguards in the real world? And if so, what tyres are people running for a hypothetical cycle/towpath commute?

Plenty of space for 32mm + guards on a Roadrat. I've had 45mm knobblies on mine. Currently using 37mm Panaracer something-or-others, with SKS guards.
