OK, so none of you could help me with replacement bulbs. Thats ok, I've not taken it personally. Honest. So my next question is what if I wanted to convert the thing in to one of these whizz bang new LEDs - Can I do it? what do I need? I've got a perfectly good battery, cables, and light housing. However I have zero experience of electronics. Any one able to, ahem, shed some light? Sorry.
you need an led and a driver.
Look on the cutter site for leds already mounted onboards

A single xpg led is around the same light as a 20 w halogen, an xml 50w ish
You need a driver - a bit of electronics to give the right current to drive your led(s)
usually bike lights ( I don't know these ones) are 35 mm based - so a 35 mmboard with three xpg on it will need 12v or more to run with a buckpuck driver
Have a look at candlepower forums and also http://www.led-tech.de/ http://www.ledsupply.com/alk-3up-eh-kit.php
Edit - heat its the enemy - you have to cool the led - a nice lump of alloy usually does the trick if yo bond the keled to it solidly
use advanced search on here - there wa a troutie home brew kit last year that would be good to adapt
