Hi a freind of mine has one and uses it regularly to film D/H practice runs. It has good clarity seems pretty tuff and is small. Some of the footage is here............

There is a nice quality to that video posted above, lighting wise at least. But it looks like the footage is suffering really badly from a rolling effect.

Big problem with them is that the batteries only last 2 hours of recording.
Toying with the idea of getting one myself.

I've got one it's very good, light compact I have a second battery but not noticed an issue with battery life, when not in use it turns itself off which is good an preserves a bit of battery and it's easy to use too.

If you buy from dogcamsports you'll get excellent support should it be needed

Hi thanx for all the above
regarding the vid clips is your mate using a Class 6 memory Card.
If not that could be why hes getting the rolling effect.

Forge197 you got any vid clips.

Grantway, sorry to hijack the thread but have you sold the storm controls you offered in a different thread?
Quite interested if they are still avaliable.

I've used the windows moviemaker with reasonable (considering it's free) results.
It's really easy to use and fine for YouTube type posts.
I only have a very cheep muvi copy camera and the results arent worth showing, this is more the camera than the software though.

I borrowed two of them to take footage in the alps. I don't think they are as good as a gopro. You can't mount them as a chest cam, the shape of them makes them harder to mount sometimes, I had one of their glue mounts fail resulting in camera damage, they take a special battery. The standard battery (AAA IIRC), of the go pro makes more sense. They suffer abit going from dark/light but the quality is pretty good. A waterproof over cover like standard with a gopro should be an essential upgrade to protect it. They are fragile. The on/off/film button is extremely hard to use with gloves and often takes a long time to start recording, resulting alot of frustration.

My video
