Anyone else running these? Essentially the Continental Cyclo X-Kings in a wider touring flavour (700x42) Have been running with inner tubes for a while, but ideally want to go tubeless. No information on the tyre or Conti's website about whether it will go tubeless ... Anyone know, or how can I tell by looking at them?

Hmm ... Maybe not a popular tyre choice?

Anyone running the Cyclo X-Kings tubeless?

Or a broader question ... How can you tell if a tyre is tubeless (compatible)? Is it the bead (folding), or the properties of the tyre itself, ie presumably not porous (or does the sealant see to that?)

Tubeless tyres have a strong (usually Kevlar) bead to cope with the higher stresses and slightly stiffer sidewall construction. I have run cheap, steel-beaded tyres tubeless successfully at lower pressures, but they have been known to fail catastrophically - perhaps something you'd not want on a tour unless carrying a spare?

It's not for touring, just for local stuff, and hopefully for the Yorkshire True Grit next weekend.
