Is it me or does that seem quite a lot? I noticed them in the LBS on Saturday and it struck me as odd. I thought the rule of thumb for tyres was about 35PSI.
Does anyone stick that much air in them?
I go 38 - 40ish, you can't go lower than 35 with contis or you're asking to get a pinch [if you're me], I go a little less on the front.
Almost all tyre manufacturers recommend stupidly high pressures for anyone of average weight. I don't know why - FWIW I run my Continentals tubeless at 25-30psi.
It does seem really high. I was looking out of curiosity as I've recently put some Verts on the bike and on Saturday's ride I felt like they were just bouncing around (at about 35psi, maybe a bit more) so I wondered what the recomended pressure was. At 50psi they'd be horrendous!
Erm does that mean 90psi is too much for kenda nevegals
Rolls nice
Most manufacturers recommend 45+ if you look at the side wall
What pressure do they recommend if you just look straight ahead?
