It would appear that I don't have as many 'Brownie points' in the bank as I first thought.

The phrase 'Do what the hell you like, I look after our kids' doesn't seem to mean what it says?

Maybe next time, Looks like it's Rivvy for me in the morning.

Have a good ride lads and bring back some piccies

just come and glibly quote it back to her and then go for a long soak in the bath. Then go to sleep on the couch ... for the next few days

sulky ? Principles ? I fear I may have none....
Listen, I wasn't intending to hijack the ride - if anyone objects to my presence I can stay home ๐Ÿ™ I was looking forward to having someone else lead the way

By way of explanation for 3rd parties, fagus seems to be under the impression I have excluded him from riding with the Bog Trotters. I don't know why he thinks this, and he declines to provide corroboration. Perhaps it's just that I smell ?

The spectre of barnes will haunt this ride if you are there or not. You've crapped on me once before, you won't do it again. I always suspected that you would turn up, read you like a book.

I don't even know what this means

You've crapped on me once before, you won't do it again

well, if you won't allow me to apologise then I don't know what I can do ๐Ÿ™

If I can poison a ride just by expressing an interest in joining it, I must be evil incarnate ๐Ÿ™

There were 10 riders, Yoshimi (Danny),Deejay (Dave), Donc (Dave), Lowey (Dave), Faz, Steve, Brian, Junkyard (Johnny), Ton (thanks for the lift Tony!), SFB (Evil antichrist)

we did 20 miles round Grizedale & Claife (and NOT Coniston as I'd expected), following most of the route chosen by Fagus but with Titty's track snuck in at the end, and a different DH to Esthwaite. As far as I could tell the others were able to resist my toxic influence, and they resisted the temptation to kick 7 shades of shite out of me and leave me bleeding and broken in the middle of nowhere :o)

And yes, it was good fun, with Deejay and I (the oldest 2) kicking the young un's arses on many of the climbs ๐Ÿ™‚

Weather initially grim and drizzly but later glorious sunshine ๐Ÿ™‚
