Coming up to the lakes for the weekend, if anyones local, is there much snow on the tops still?
Was up there last weekend and the snow line seemed to be about 1700 ft. Check the national park weather line for more info. I notice bogtrotters did a ride around Ambleside on Sunday and the trails looked good and clear.
Just started to snow quite heavily here in South Lakes. Conditions last week may be a bit different to what they may be like tomorrow.

Fells were pretty clear last saturday but some bridleways surprisingly still blocked by drifts in places. Threlkeld - back of Skiddaw valley just had a few bits to plough / walk through. Skiddaw House area was a walk with thigh deep drifts blocking the track. Longscale fell (heading back to Keswick) was mostly clear.
