It was open last Saturday. It opens Friday to Sunday, then sporadically during the week.

Is it called the forest cafe?

Lovely couple who run it, always make big doorstep sandwiches and give you a bag of crisps to go with it.

Nice garden too, what a place to live!

Mmmmm, Bara Brith.....Hungry now!

That has to be one of my fave spots on any ride in the sunny summer. Fast, flowing DH through the woods with the promise of cake waiting at the end of it!

The lady was very friendly indeed. She did chuckle when I asked how far round I was, and whether there was much more climbing to be done...

Yeah it's still there, went there today, cheese and branston sandwich and a pint of cloudy lemonade. And it's still up for sale as well

Not as distraught as I was, I recall. Their leaflet said they would be open, which made it more upsetting.

I'll be there on Wednesday, anyone know if they have a phone number, or if they are likely to be open?

Not sure I have enough room in my Camelbak to carry all the food I'd need to do the beast!

I have often rung in advance to see if they are open. They are always happy to hear from people.

Here's the number

£399,050 is the asking price I believe.

I was there today and she said her standard opening days are Fri-Sun but sounds like she can be persuaded to open at other times (she said she did yesterday for instance).
