After getting a thorn in my tyre last night, before putting the patched tube back in, I thought I'd just give this a go, and the tyre sealed really easily.
This is on my OO Fatty though, and with all the stories about people struggling to seat tyres on those rims, I thought there was no point in me trying, but I am really surprised how easy it was using this method.
I haven't been out on a spin yet, but it seems to be holding pressure.
