Ive moved my cleats as far back as possible on my sidi's for general xc and trail centre riding as it helps me slightly with getting tight hamstrings. The new position makes it more difficult to drop my heels and subsequently causes me to feel a like my weight is more over the front wheel.

Does anyone find that there is a best cleat position for riding steep/DH stuff? Im thinking im just being a twonk with this one but its worth an ask.

I find the further back they go the easier to drop my heels. If I ride as per normal xc cleated riding, the pedal is under the ball of my foot and much more difficult to adjust how my ankle / foot moves. Keep trying different positions until you find one that suits as we are all different.
