I have read on a few web sites that you need to buy the tool for installation, but will a normal shimano HTII installation tool do the job.
having a look at the pictures the groves look roughly the same.
so do i need to buy the tool or will i get away with my shimano tool.

Don't know - I was wondering the same thing myself!! thinking of emailing Aspire velo & asking them - they're really good at getting back with answers!!

Mine's been in for a while.
Good so far. Grease tool works great.
