Any links where to get a decent set of these for working on fork air springs etc not the interchangeable shite ones, proper ones cheers.
Give me a few days and I will report back on these eBay cheapies I was recommenced.

Too late for the air spring, I’ve done that and it prompted me to ask the question. Their first test will be a Charger damper
Edit: I know full well they are going to be some shonky pressed steel but so long as they reliably keep hold of the various circlips on bicycles I will be happy
I've these circlip pliers from Screwfix
I think I bought them when they were on sale once, not sure how much I paid but they've been fine when I've used them on a circlip in my forks. If I was using them daily I'd probably spend more but for occasional use these seem fine.
Edit: I can't recall if they were too big for the circlip in a Hope brake lever. I recall struggling with a pick but I'm not certain if that was due to the above pliers not fitting or me trying to clean up the remains of a rusty circlip stuck in the groove.
I bought a pair of Knipex ones on Amazon for £15 a couple of weeks ago after breaking a cheap set. I got internal 1.3mm tip ones for removing a circlip in a freehub.
Knipex done the job no bother. Not sure what size of tip is needed for a fork circlip tho.
I got mine in Halfords (didn't go to buy them just randomly picked them up) ... they work great for forks and dropper circlips... (sorry busy few days and I need to empty the shed to get to the airshafts ... and the circlip pliers come to that )
I managed to get the circlip out using the cheapo external pliers and it pinged off but luckily it didn't go far!
So yes proper ones before I do anything else.....
Cheers I'll check the links later on 👍
I've some larger pliers from Halfords that have been filed down to make them more effective, I also splashed out on some tiny Wiha ones for the charger damper

Same here, really nice quality, realyl small circlips are a pain in the ass, often tie a piece of thread round them to stop them going flying!
I got some cheap ones off eBay and the tips broke off. I have the park tools ones now and they work well.
I’ve got a set of Draper and they are really good quality but absolutely hopeless at gripping the circlips to squeeze and lift out, it just slips off the end. I’ve been rebuilding a set of Pikes and it has been driving me nuts. Will keep an eye on this thread to see whether there are better sets out there
Make sure to get the right movement. There are two types, one you squeeze to open and one squeeze to close. You want one that opens. Also cheaper types may have the end tips a few fractions of a mm too wide, which makes it tricky to fit into the circlip holes.

As I said on the other thread.... My 15 quid eBay box of many circlip pliers is actually better for the bike than ant of my posh knipex ones. The ends are much narrower.
