Was enjoying a family stroll around there this morning, (from the Ramblers Retreat cafe just outside Alton) noticed a large number of cheeky bike trails winding down the (quite) steep hillsides
Its a lovely area, very old mixed woodland and parts are a SSSI so whats the local attitude towards biking there, apart from on the two bridleways?
We walked up one track that had a bit of a berm constructed and the remains of a jump and the path had horse's hoof prints on the ground so I figure its not just bikers that ride 'off piste'
Is it worth a jaunt over from Derby to explore on bike further?

Dimmingsdale

Well worth it from Derby, gets very boggy in the wet, can make a nice couple of hours ride but then you have covered everything

yep thats it
Apologies, originally from the Wirral and Dibbinsdale is just outside Bromborough, guess I had that on my mind
Parts where boggy today but not that bad, looks to be very sandy in places, I imagine it will get quite fun in places
