I'm sure if I looked on the ck website hard enough I'd find this but I have a set of fairly old (5 years+) Chris King hubs with a 9mm QR. Can they be converted to any sort of bolt-though? Thinking about changing a fork but wondering if my choice will be restricted unless I also change the hubs.

Yep.

9mm can be converted to 15mm.
20mm can be converted to 15mm.
20mm can not be converted to 9mm.
9mm can not be converted to 20mm.

I'm not sure with the older hubs if you can but check on CK's site or with Aspire Velotech. I have the 20mm large shell hub that can be converted to 15mm as that's exactly what it's running at the mo as I run Fox forks. We made some 20mm to 15mm convertors at BETD even before CK did and we sorted the issue regarding floating rotors as well.

Nice - one of each so far ๐Ÿ˜€

So anyone know the year of change if it is age dependant... I'm fairly sure the wheels are older than 15mm standard..

Contact Aspire Velotech and they will give you a definitive answer and if there is such a thing they will also sell it and even though they're in the States they're brilliant to deal with and quick sending stuff to the UK as well.

I'm running the BETD 15mm coversion in my 13/14 year old chris king discotec front hub, except they only give you one adjusting tool with it and you need two.(at least you only got one when I bought mine several years ago)

As Hadge as brushed on , beware if you run floating rotors as they will not clear the fork/disc mount UNLESS you convert using the BETD axle .

rc I passed on a remark to my boss about only one tool being supplied and I'm sure two are sent out now -I hope.
